A collared dama gazelle joins a group of wild dama

Two weeks ago, six dama gazelles were released into the de Ouadi Rimé Ouadi Achim Faunal Reserve.

To follow the gazelles’ movements and to monitor their absorption into the reserve’s wild population of around 50 animals, three of them have been fitted with GPS tracking devices.

Last week, the monitoring team was delighted to see one of these gazelles join a group of wild dama in the reserve!
Good news for us too, we will now be able to follow and observe this group of wild gazelles, and thus obtain detailed information on their behavior and movements.
